On-Line Catch Returns
Salmon and sea trout catch returns can now be submitted on-line.
The Ulster Angling Federation are contacting all angling clubs to advise the angling catch return form, traditionally included on the DCAL licence, are now also available to complete on a new on line facility the link to this is displayed below.
As you are aware, catch return information is mandatory in relation to salmon and sea trout, though DCAL welcomes all information in relation to catch and return efforts so that records are as accurate and full as possible.
This catch return form should be completed for all fish caught, including those which were released. The hours spent fishing should also be recorded, including those hours when no fish were caught.
When you complete your angling catch return online, you will be entered into a draw for the chance to win a complimentary 2016 DCAL Rod Licence and Permit.
The UAF consider this as very important as the figures will feed into future management plans and influence future policy. We would encourage as many as possible to enter their catch returns especially nil returns where considerable time was spent fishing.
