2016 Fishing Competition

Downpatrick and District Anglers Association Ltd, are pleased to announce that the Charitable Annual Angling Competition will be held on Saturday 27th August 2016. Each year our club holds a fishing competition, BBQ and raffle and we use the day solely as a means to raise money for a local charity.

This years nominated charity is one that you probably remember from the AGM meeting, where Lindsey McConomy gave a tremendous talk and gave us a touching insight into the work of Listen hEAR.

The success of the day is only made possible by some very important people and the amount of money that will be raised for this years charity is only made possible by some very important people. So, just who are these people.

These people are you…the members of DDAA Ltd.

Competition Information.

Cost:                           £20 per session. (Juniors £10)

Date:                           Saturday the 27th August.

We will try and facilitate your requested time, but please be patient if we cannot, as there are a limited number of boats. But come along early even if you’re not fishing in the first timings. Meet other new and old members, say Hello and have a cuppa and some fishing chat before your session.

At 1600 the BBQ will begin and throughout the Tray Bakes, Tea and Coffee will be available. (There will be a voluntary donation for BBQ and Teas and Coffees, as this enables more money to go towards the charity)

17:30 Presentations to winners and of course “Prizes”, a raffle and yet more “Prizes”

Once this is completed and everyone is fed and watered and about to walk away with their “prizes,” please just take 10 minutes to help clean and tidy up around the clubhouse as this will greatly assist the organisers.
