Dear members
- Just imagine you are a new member to the club and are a little unsure of what to do with the boats.
- Or perhaps you find it physically difficult to get in and out of the boat, let alone managing or rowing it?
- Or perhaps you are recovering from an illness.
- Maybe you’re just not sure how to fish correctly!
Wouldn’t it be great if you could phone a “Buddy” and ask if they could take you fishing some day or evening? Wouldn’t it be great if you were a “Buddy" and could help someone else and actually go fishing at the same time!
The Buddy Scheme
- We would like 8-10 members that are willing to take a fellow angler fishing.
- We would like to display your name, telephone number or email address details on the website as being a "Buddy”.
- If it doesn’t suit you then the person asking simply contacts another Buddy.
- You can have your name taken off the list anytime.
For example:
A Club member "Joe Salmon" has had a slight stroke recently and is unsteady on his feet for the next few weeks. He's desperate to go fishing and goes online and looks at the "Buddy" section. He selects a name and phones him... “Absolutely, it's not a problem Joe, I’ll see you at 5 at the boathouse”
(We already have 4 volunteers) Just contact us by email on : ddaaltd@btinternet.com or speak with Dave Stewart or Noel Taggart.
It’s simple, easy, helpful and you’re giving something back to your own club.
